The Balung Neera Syrup (also known as Arenga Pinnata Syrup) act as the perfect sweetener and flavor stimulant for cakes, pastries, pancakes, toast, sandwiches, cereals, beverages, fruit juices, dessert toppings and many other uses.

The consumption of sugar made from the fruit of the Neera is a traditional and homeopathic remedy, believed to revitalise the body. Balung Neera Syrup is an excellent natural sugar substitute, and is completely free of chemicals or preservatives. It is the perfect sweetener and flavor stimulant for cakes, pastries, pancakes, toast, sandwiches, cereals, beverages, fruit juices and dessert toppings. The shelf life is 2 years from the date of preparation, but once opened, it must be refrigerated.

Neera is an economically important palm tree native to tropical Asia, from eastern India to Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Common names include Sugar Palm, Neera Palm, Black-fiber palm, Gomuti Palm, Aren, Irok and Kaong. It is a medium-sized palm, growing to 20 metres, with the trunk remaining covered by the rough old leaf bases. The fruit is 7 cm in diameter, changing from green to black when it matures.
